Pearl Jam were terrible...
The terrible venue - Key Arena - seriously, you can't take alcohol to your seat at a rock concert?
I missed Ben Harper because we were outside having a drink (refer point 1.). However, we could hear the band playing, and we had no idea it was Ben Harper and Relentless 7 because they sounded like a high school metal band.
Eddie Vedder has good stage presence generally, but he mumbled a bunch of mindless gibberish that sounded like he was speaking Russian. The rest of the band had the stage presence of a high school band playing on prom night. How this was the same band that has wooed crowds on the world stage for the past 20 or so years is completely beyond me!
This was the first time I'd seen Arcy Drive live; in the 90's, I'd been a big fan but had not listened to a lot of their new stuff. From memory, they played perhaps 5 songs combined from what I believe are their best albums (Ten, Vs, Vitalogy, and No Code). Of those that they did play, the selection was questionable. I understand that they have a vast selection of songs and have to appeal to a diverse audience, but come on, your fans made you - you have to give back.
I left feeling disgruntled and would not rush back to an Arcy Drive concert. I would consider seeing Eddie Vedder solo, but it would have to be a smaller and more intimate venue.
